A delegate from Education Malaysia Jordan, Embassy of Malaysia Amman headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radzuwan Ab Rashid, The Director of EM Jordan, has visited The Secretary-General, Pro. Dr. Mamon Al-Dabo’i at his office in The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Several issues were discussed related to the new intake admission for the academic year 2022/2023. The Secretary-General promised to help the Embassy of Malaysia by issuing correspondence to all public universities to enhance their online applications to be bilingual and insert the international payment method using Visa/Mastercard.
The Director of EM Jordan, Dr. Radzuwan has highlighted the process of recognition of new Malaysian universities which apply through the online application to be recognized in Jordan. The Secretary-General said that the process is going smoothly and those who have a shortage in their supporting documents have been notified and they completed their applications, and by nexr=t week the committee will have a decision on that.
Dr. Radzuwan was asking about ministry advice regarding the mutual cooperation between the Malaysian University which signed an MoU with APU to establish a medical school in Jordan. The Secretary-General advised the Embassy to make such a project with public universities rather than private universities so the ministry can fully support and ease the process of establishing the medical school. However, opening academic programs in collaboration with Jordanian universities is a great idea [such as Postgraduate programs] where there are two methods; joint programs or hosting. Dr. Radzuwan was so enthusiastic about the idea of hosting programs by Jordanian universities because the joint program is not acceptable to the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
