Singing MOA between University of Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST)

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between the University of Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) to foster collaborative research endeavors. The ceremony took place on 16 May 2023 at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two esteemed educational institutions.
The collaboration between UMK and JUST is a joint initiative by Education Malaysia Jordan and the Embassy of Malaysia Amman. The objective of this research-driven collaboration is to leverage the collective expertise and resources of both universities to promote both academic and student exchange, scientific innovation, and knowledge-sharing in various fields of study.
The vice chancellor of UMK, Datuk Prof. Dr. Razli Che Razak, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating that “Implementation of this research MOA will serve as a catalyst for sharing expertise and research findings that will benefit both parties. We believe that this partnership will create new avenues for academic growth, encourage cross-cultural understanding, and pave the way for groundbreaking discoveries”.
The President of JUST, Prof. Dr. Khalid El-Salem, expressed his excitement for the future prospects of this collaboration, stating that “We are delighted to enter into this research partnership with the University of Malaysia Kelantan. By pooling our expertise and resources, we can collectively address global challenges, enhance our research capabilities, and make significant contributions to academia and society as a whole”.
As the research MOA takes effect, both UMK and JUST look forward to the fruitful exchange of knowledge, joint research projects, and the development of initiatives that drive innovation and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge. This partnership sets the stage for a bright future of collaborative research, academic growth, and cultural understanding between Malaysia and Jordan.
The agreement encompasses a wide range of research areas, including but not limited to science, technology, engineering, and social sciences. Through this partnership, both universities aim to foster a collaborative environment that nurtures interdisciplinary research and encourages the exchange of ideas among scholars, researchers, and students. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister Counselor (Education) of Malaysia, Associate Prof. Dr. Radzuwan Ab Rashid, Director of the Research Management Division, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Associate Chm. Ts Dr. Abdul Hafidz Yusoff, Director of the Publication and Rating Division (TNCPI), Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Asrul Hery Ibrahim, Director of JUST’s International Office, Prof. Feda’a Al-Tamimi, and JUST’s Director of Research, Prof. Tareq Mukattash.
